Meet Our Founder
Five Elements Remedies is the culmination of the passion and expertise of Tram Pham, our lead herbalist, and founder.
Early Stage
Tram was born in Vietnam before immigrating to the US at 6 years old under a refugee program.
She received her Master's in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Los Angeles.
Extensive clinical practice
Since 2011, Tram has treated patients from all walks of life and from around the world, including many high-profile Hollywood celebrities and executives and professional athletes.
From 2017-2021, Tram was the proud owner and lead practitioner of Santa Barbara Herb Clinic, one of the country's leading natural medicine practices since the 1980s. Managing one of the biggest Chinese herbal pharmacies in the US and personally treating as many as 100 patients per week gave her valuable experience, resulting in an in-depth understanding of herbal medicine theory and the industry.
Creation of Five Elements Remedies
Tram sold the Santa Barbara Herb Clinic in 2021, so she could spend more time with her family. She began working on Five Elements Remedies shortly thereafter.
In addition to Five Elements' pre-formulated line of tinctures, Tram offers confidential 1-on-1 herbal consultations by appointment over video.

The Art and Science of Our Remedies
Extracting the healing powers of Chinese herbs is an age-old tradition, passed down through centuries and practiced by many. Tincturing is considered one of the most effective extraction methods that provide potent and powerful healing from any kind of ailment.
FORMULATE
We draw from 3000-year-old herbal medicine wisdom and observation of the phases of nature to create unique and effective formulas.
IDENTIFY
Raw materials (such as bark, leaves, stems, roots, seeds, flowers, or fruit) are identified according to their healing properties and target energy systems.
SOAK
The plant parts are soaked in alcohol for long periods using a 8:1 ratio for the most potent concentrates. This process pulls out the active ingredients and makes them viable for mixing to create the most powerful healing remedy.
EXTRACT
The soaked herbs are filtered out and separated from the liquid extract to complete the tincturing process. The healing remedy is then bottled in a dark container to protect its potency and prolong viability.
USE
Liquid tinctures are easy to take and quickly absorbed by the body. They are best taken on their own, administered with a dropper or teaspoon.
At Five Elements Remedies, our formulations speak for themselves. Our herbal concentrates are made using the highest standards of modern tincturing, ensuring each batch adheres to the traditions of Chinese herbal medicine.
